Sports Teacher - Cricket, Hockey, Swimming (Tanga, Tanzania)

About the Role :

To lead and teach Physical Education with a priority focus on Cricket, Hockey, and Swimming, ensuring students develop high-level technical skills, achieve physical excellence, and foster the discipline and sportsmanship required for competitive success and personal growth.

• Teach and coach the PE curriculum effectively, with a specialized focus on Cricket, Hockey, and Swimming.
  

• Prepare training programs, lesson plans, and athletic assessment modules.
  

• Track and support student athletic progress and physical development.
  

• Prepare student teams for inter-school competitions, tournaments, and swimming galas.
  

• Maintain discipline on the field and in the pool while upholding professional coaching standards.
  

• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the school’s extra-curricular planning.
  

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
  

• Teaching or specialized coaching qualifications preferred e.g., Lifeguard certification, Cricket / Hockey coaching.
  

• 3 to 5 years of experience in sports coaching or PE teaching.
  

• Strong proficiency in English.
  

• Excellent communication, leadership, and motivational skills.
