Sports Journalism Intern

ChampionSport.ug is a sports news site published daily from Kampala. We cover the Uganda Premier League and the national teams, plus cricket, netball, rugby and athletics, and we have published over 1,100 articles since 2025.

We are looking for volunteer interns who want to write about Ugandan sport.

What you would do:

- Match reports and league coverage, mainly the Uganda Premier League

- Results and news from other Ugandan sports

- Interviews, if you can land them

What to know before you apply:

- This is an unpaid, volunteer internship.

- Work we publish carries your byline.

- There are no other benefits: no allowance, no transport and no equipment.

- You can work remotely. Being in Kampala helps with match coverage but is not required.

Who we are looking for: journalism or communication students and anyone who writes clear English and follows Ugandan sport.
