Job Description: Social Media Manager

The Social Media Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, and managing an organization’s social media presence to enhance brand awareness, promote products or services, and engage with target audiences. The role involves content creation, campaign management, performance analysis, and community engagement across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.

The Social Media Manager works closely with marketing and communication teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding while staying updated with digital trends and audience behavior.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute effective social media strategies
  • Create, schedule, and publish engaging content (text, images, videos)
  • Manage and grow social media accounts and online communities
  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and customer inquiries
  • Track performance metrics and prepare regular reports
  • Run paid advertising campaigns and promotions
  • Stay updated on trends, tools, and best practices
  • Collaborate with internal teams for campaigns and branding
  • Maintain a content calendar for consistent posting
  • Protect and manage the organization’s online reputation

Job RequirementsEducation

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • Relevant certifications in digital marketing are an added advantage

Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience managing social media platforms
  • Proven track record of growing and engaging online audiences
  • Experience with social media tools and analytics

Skills

  • Strong content creation and copywriting skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and social media strategies
  • Analytical skills to interpret data and improve performance
  • Creativity and ability to generate engaging ideas
  • Basic graphic design and video editing skills
