Site Manager
Job summary
We are looking for a highly skilled and detailed –oriented site manager to oversee the daily operations of our construction site/facility. The site manager will be responsible for managing all activates on site ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Site operations management:
- Oversee all aspects of the site's daily operations, ensuring the project is progressing according to plan.
- Coordinate and supervise the activities of contractors, sub-contractors, and onsite workers.
- Ensure the project is completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with the design specifications and regulations.
- Monitor and manage on-site logistics, including delivery schedules, material storage and equipment use.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety and environmental standards onsite.
- Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are in place and up to date for the project.
Team leadership and supervision:
- Lead, supervise and manage a team of onsite personnel, including workers, contractors and subcontractors.
- Schedule and delegate tasks to ensure efficient use of resources and time.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and resolve any issues or delays.
- Provide clear instructions and guidance to all site workers and ensure compliance with site procedures and safety protocols.
Health and safety management:
- Ensure a safe working environment for all site personnel by implementing and enforcing health and safety policies.
- Conduct daily safety meetings and maintain safety records.
- Monitor site activities to identify hazards and ensure proper safety equipment is used by all personnel.
- Respond quickly and effectively to any accidents or emergencies on-site.
Project monitoring and reporting:
- Track and report the progress of the project to management, providing regular updates on schedule, costs and quality.
- Ensure all work is completed according to project specifications, engineering drawings and relevant regulations.
- Report any variances or issues that could affect the project timeline or budget and take corrective action when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of onsite activities, materials used, labour, and project costs.
Budget and resource management:
- Ensure the efficient use of resources, including materials, equipment and manpower.
- Monitor and control project expenditures to ensure the site stays within budget.
- Order and manage the delivery of construction materials, ensuring timely availability and minimal waste.
- Work with procurement teams to ensure that all materials and supplies meet project specifications.
Quality control:
- Implementing quality control measures to ensure that all work meets or exceeds the required standards and specifications.
- Perform inspections and tests as necessary to ensure the quality of workmanship and materials.
- Address any quality issues or defects promptly and ensure corrective actions are taken.
Collaboration and communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all onsite personnel, including contractors, subcontractors, and external vendors.
- Communicate regularly with the project manager or construction manager to provide status updates and escalate any issues.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g. logistics, procurement) to ensure smooth project execution.
- Facilitate meetings with stakeholders, addressing concerns and ensuring all parties are aligned with project goals.
