Job Description
Job Purpose / Objective:
Responsible for overseeing and managing security operations to safeguard personnel, assets, and property within the construction site and related facilities.
Ensures a safe and secure environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors involved in the road construction projects.
Maintain a secure environment, prevent unauthorized access, mitigate potential risks, and respond effectively to security incidents within the road construction site and its premises.
Job Roles and Responsibilities:
Security Management:
• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and protocols in alignment with company standards and local regulations.
• Supervise and lead a team of security personnel to ensure efficient security operations.
Access Control:
• Monitor access points to the construction site and facilities, ensuring only authorized individuals are granted entry.
• Implement visitor registration and authentication procedures.
Surveillance and Monitoring:
• Oversee the operation of security surveillance systems, including cameras and alarms.
• Monitor the premises for unusual activities and respond promptly to potential security threats.
Risk Assessment:
• Identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities within the construction site and surrounding areas.
• Implement preventive measures to mitigate identified risks.
Emergency Response:
• Develop and communicate emergency response plans to address various security scenarios.
• Coordinate with emergency services and relevant authorities in case of incidents.
Incident Reporting:
• Investigate and report security incidents, breaches, and violations to management.
• Document and maintain incident reports and logs.
Training and Awareness:
• Provide security training to construction site personnel on security protocols and procedures.
• Promote security awareness among employees and contractors.
Collaboration:
• Liaise with local law enforcement agencies, if necessary, to ensure proper security coordination.
• Performs any other duty as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
• Incident Response Time: Measure the time taken to respond to and address security incidents.
• Access Control Effectiveness: Evaluate the success of access control measures in preventing unauthorized entry.
• Surveillance System Functionality: Monitor the functionality and coverage of security surveillance systems.
• Security Training Completion: Track the completion of security training for site personnel.
• Emergency Response Plan Execution: Evaluate the effectiveness of emergency response plans during drills or real incidents.
Work Experience, Skills and Knowledge:
• Security Knowledge: Understanding of security protocols, practices, and risk management.
• Leadership: Ability to lead and manage a team of security personnel effectively.
• Problem-Solving: Capability to address security challenges and incidents promptly.
• Communication: Effective communication with security team members, management, and external authorities.
