Job summary
Wamuco Motors is hiring Security guard (2) responsible for ensuring the safety and security of company assets, premises, customers, and staff, including regular monitoring & managing of surveillance equipment, spot checks, and permitting entry & exit of items and individuals in and out of the premises.

- Welcoming all the guests and all the customers that are coming into the Workshop
- Answering visitors’ questions concerning locations of various offices, rooms, and other areas within Wamuco
- Observing the clients and non-clients to make sure we offer help where possible
- Observing and knowing the staff coming in and going out
- Observing the clients who have luggage and advising them not to leave it lying around or unattended
- Guiding the clients to make sure they take the right directions
- Preparing Gate Pass for clients before they leave, and must consult with the team to see that the clients have paid their bills or been released.
- Conduct regular security and business risk audits and facilitate implementation of corrective actions to address potential security risks
- Receive, verify asset movement and duly authorize transfer/ movement of the assets within and out of company premises.
- Regularly monitor the functionality of security equipment to mention; security lights, and promptly report any security incidents to management and provide probable solutions.
- Research, develop and recommend strategic interventions for security operations to improve the company's security.
- Assist in conducting investigations into fraud and other crimes committed or about to be committed on the company premises and recommending courses of action to management.
- Regularly issue security advisories to staff and customers about imminent security threats/fraudulent activities and guide them on the appropriate countermeasures through circulars and sensitizations.
- Participate in designing, implementation of review of security management processes and policies at all levels of the company.
- Work closely with relevant security organs outside the company on matters of security, crime prevention and investigation. Ensuring compliance with company policies, data protection and private security regulations.
- Observing that the property is in place and not tampered with or taken away
- Reporting any missing property of the company, staff and clients from the premises to the head of operations at all times
- Monitoring the park yard to see that it’s clear before taking over the shift (no bomb, abandoned car, etc.)
- Checking cars and verifying if vehicles are parked in restricted areas, such as fire zones, entrances or reserved parking spaces
- Monitoring the clients who have parked to make sure that they do not block each other
- Reporting and raising an alarm if the person picking the car did not park it
- Ensuring that the parking area is clean at all times
- Ensuring that lights are on when it turns dark and off if there is natural light
- Any other duty as shall be assigned to you from time to time.
- Must be physically fit

- High ethical standards and integrity.
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Willingness to go for a medical examination test.
- Minimum of UCE Certificate
- More than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Ability to speak Fluent English and any other languages
- A certificate from a recognized security training institution
