Sales Translator / Customer Service Assistant

Job Description

Gracewood Furniture is looking for a local multilingual translator in factory to support our showroom sales and customer service operations. This role combines translation, sales assistance, order follow-up, and coordination between customers and production teams.

You will be a key communication bridge between Chinese management, local clients, and the production team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Chinese–English–Luganda translation during showroom sales and customer interactions.
• Assist customers in understanding products, designs, pricing, and order details.
• Support showroom sales activities and help close deals.
• Follow up customer orders from confirmation to delivery and installation.
• Coordinate communication between customers, sales staff, and the production team.
• Handle basic customer service tasks and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
• Assist with documentation, order details, and internal communication when needed.

Requirements

• Fluency in Chinese, English and Luganda.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-oriented mindset with a positive and proactive attitude.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and follow orders carefully.
• Sales or customer service experience is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of furniture or interior products is an advantage (training will be provided).
