About The Job

  • We are hiring on behalf of a client a sales officer to promote & sell the Garage’s riding gear, generate new business, and build strong relationships with existing customers. The Sales officer will actively visit potential customers, and fleet operators to market products such as Studds safety Helmets, Vultex Riding Boots & Riding Suits (Riding Tribe & Comfride).

Responsibilities

  • Identify and approach new customers to increase sales for riding gear.
  • Visit and prospect within fleet clients to maximise client absorption and volume sales for riding gear.
  • Plan and manage all promotional activities necessary to increase sells volumes for riding gear.
  • Build and periodically maintain a clean clientele data base and foster good relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Understand customer needs and recommend the appropriate products.
  • Prepare quotations and follow up on leads and customer inquiries including making presentations to increase product awareness.
  • Achieve agreed monthly sales targets for riding gear.
  • Provide regular reports on field visits, leads, and sales performance.
  • Gather market information on competitors, pricing, and customer demand.
  • Coordinate with other teams within the workshop to ensure product availability and timely delivery.
  • Ensure proper collection of payments where required.
  • Any other job related tasks as may be assigned to you by your line manager from time to time.

Requirements

  • Advanced Diploma or Degree in Business or Automotive Engineering, Sales, or a related field.
  • Background or knowledge in automotive sales will be an added advantage.
  • At least 2 years of experience in sales of automotive parts, lubricants, or related products.
  • Must be self-driven, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Possession of a valid Motorcycle riding permit is an added advantage
