Overview
Equa Smart Meters Limited is an energy services company providing smart metering, utility billing, and energy management solutions for electricity, water, and gas. We partner with property developers, building owners, and property managers to help them efficiently measure, manage, and bill utilities through reliable prepaid and smart metering systems.
As we establish our presence in Uganda, we are seeking a results-driven Sales Executive to grow our market footprint by acquiring new clients, activating meters, and driving revenue growth in a new and developing market.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive new business development in Uganda by identifying, targeting, and closing property developers, real estate managers, property owners, and electrical contractors.
• Establish and grow Equa Smart Meters Limited’s footprint in a new market by opening new accounts and building a strong sales pipeline.
• Present prepaid electricity, water, and smart metering solutions effectively, negotiate contracts, and deliver against agreed revenue and activation targets.
• Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitor activity to support market entry strategy.
• Collaborate with technical and operations teams to ensure smooth installation, activation, and customer onboarding.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and submit timely sales reports on pipeline performance, activations, and market insights.
• Build and manage strong client relationships to drive repeat business and referrals.
Professional Qualifications & Experience
• Diploma in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field; a Degree will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 2 years’ B2B sales experience, preferably in utilities, energy, property development, construction, or technology-related sectors.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a competitive environment.
• Familiarity with the Ugandan market, including property development and construction stakeholders.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
