JOB TITLE: Sales and Marketing Executive


Job Purpose

You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective sales and marketing strategies to maximize hotel profitability. Your role involves promoting the hotel’s services, facilities, and events to both individual and corporate clients to ensure revenue growth and occupancy targets are achieved


Company background

Rwenzori International Hotel Limited a member of Uganda hotel owners association was incorporated in July 2002.It is located on Mbogo road plot 1/3 Kamaiba,Kasese with the address P.O Box 280 Kasese . It is a 3 minutes drive from kasese airstrip (aerodrome) and is at the foot hills of the mountains of the moon, 1.5kms along the Kasese- Mbarara highway.

Reporting to: Operations Manager


Job specification

Sales Strategy Development:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base.
  • Identify new markets and business opportunities to increase sales.
  • Build strong relationships with key accounts and corporate clients.


Marketing Campaigns:

  • Plan and coordinate marketing campaigns, including advertising, promotional activities, and social media campaigns.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adjust marketing strategies as necessary.


Digital Marketing:

  • Manage the hotel’s online presence, including the website, social media platforms, and online travel agencies (OTAs).
  • Optimize content for SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and manage online reputation.


Events and Promotions:

  • Coordinate with other departments to organize events and promotions.
  • Participate in shows, conventions, and promotional events to represent the hotel.


Revenue Management:

  • Monitor and analyze sales and revenue performance.
  • Implement pricing strategies and revenue management techniques to maximize revenue per available room (RevPAR) and overall profitability.


Customer Relations:

  • Handle inquiries and bookings from clients and ensure excellent customer service throughout their stay.
  • Resolve customer complaints promptly and effectively.


Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare regular reports on sales and marketing activities, performance, and ROI.
  • Utilize data analytics to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly


Candidate specification

A diploma/Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a relevant field is preferred.


Critical skills Required

  • Proven experience as a Sales & Marketing Executive or similar role in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics and customer behavior.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
  • Creative thinker with strong analytical abilities.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Willingness to travel for trade shows and client meetings.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
