Job Summary
The Purchasing & Inventory Associate is responsible for executing purchases of stock items, managing inventory records, and coordinating the movement of goods into and out of Signalytic’s warehouse. This role is central to ensuring production has the materials it needs and that finished goods are ready for shipment. The Associate will work closely with vendors, clearing agents, and internal teams to ensure supply chain efficiency.

Job Description/Requirements
Reports To: Supply Chain Manager (functionally supported by CFO on approvals)
Location: Kampala, Uganda
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Execution
● Receive weekly procurement lists and act promptly on purchasing needs
● Source goods both locally and internationally, using approved vendors
● Coordinate with vendors for pricing, lead times, and quality confirmation
● Organize international and local shipments, including customs clearance
● Track deliveries and ensure timely arrival at the warehouse
Inventory Management
● Maintain accurate inventory levels in Odoo
● Conduct routine spot counts and resolve discrepancies
● Track and support commodity movement between warehouse, production, and shipping zones
● Ensure finished goods are stored properly and clearly documented
Support for Shipping
● Prepare finished goods for outbound shipment
● Assist with packing, labelling, and basic logistics tasks
● Provide documentation and inventory release forms for deployments
Required Qualifications & Skills
● Diploma or degree in Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
● 2+ years of experience in procurement, inventory, or logistics roles
● Familiarity with importation and customs processes in Uganda
● Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using inventory software
● Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Experience
● Use of Alibaba or other digital sourcing platforms
● Prior use of Odoo or a similar ERP system
● Experience in a warehouse or production environment

● Odoo (inventory, purchase, logistics modules)
● Excel / Google Sheets
● Gmail
