Qualifications & Experience
Academic: Degree in Art, Film/Television, Broadcast Journalism or related field.
Professional: Diploma in Technical TV Production such as Scheduling, Audio & Digital Video Editing (are added advantage).
Experience: At least 5 years of working experience in broadcasting, 3 years in a leadership role. Have an established evolving list of integrated production sources and vendors.
- Rating and audience delivery. Ensure programmes meet the required weekly and monthly audience performance ratings.
- Local content delivery and cost discipline. Track local content innovations, conduct quality assessments and ensure local programming is delivered within approved budgets.
- Transmission integrity and operational excellence. Enforce seamless daily transmission rate through daily compilation checks, ingestion lists reviews, DTS accuracy and adherence to commercial schedules. Generate incident reports and submit within 24hrs.
- Promotion and visibility of programming. Execute weekly on-air and digital promotion plans for all station programmes; and ensure alignment with marketing and digital teams.
- People leadership and performance culture. Conduct quarterly performance reviews for self and your direct reports as per the existing performance management framework. Enhance team engagement and collaboration to lower attrition due to avoidable leadership issues.
- Brand and reputational risk management. Ensure and enforce compliance with broadcast regulatory standards at all times. Conduct risk assessments for sensitive content and develop an effective crisis response formula to achieve zero reputational incidents attributed to programming decisions.
