Education:
A bachelor's Degree in procurement or Agriculture/Livestock.
Experience
A minimum of 3 years of work experience in the field of procurement with preference on procurement related to agricultural products and livestock.
Demonstrated experience of developing training materials, imparting trainings and capacity building activities in the field of Procurement.
Must possess experience of procuring agricultural products, livelihood items, equipment and livestock. Experience in using ERP, data bases and electronic tendering systems. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meeting tight deadlines and coordinate with internal & external stakeholders. Working closely with client units and CPs to provide training and guidance on sourcing livestock and agricultural products. Ability to implement sourcing strategies including processing spot and long-term contracts.
Professional qualifications in CIPS / GAFTA would be added advantage.
Provide operational coordination and administrative services, to support procurement activities and projects in accordance with WFP procurement procedures and policies.
The staff member shall be responsible to support CPs and provide trainings on procurement activities to purchase livelihood items, agricultural products and livestock.
The incumbent will support on engineering projects, coordinate and support in onboarding of vendors to smart sourcing, issue tenders, undertake evaluations, submission of procurement cases to the relevant procurement committees, drafting contracts and preparing Purchase Orders.
Ability to do market assessments of the selected categories and identify efficient and cost-effective sourcing strategies including processing LTAs.
