Nutrena Poultry Farm Limited invites applications from qualified, hardworking, and dedicated individuals to fill four (4) vacancies for the position of Poultry Farm Attendant.
Job Title: Poultry Farm Attendant
Minimum Qualifications
- A Certificate in Agriculture from a recognized institution.
- A strong interest in poultry farming and livestock management.
- Ability to follow farm instructions, maintain hygiene, and observe biosecurity procedures.
- Good discipline, honesty, teamwork, and commitment to work.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays when required.
Job Description and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
1. Feeding poultry and ensuring a continuous supply of clean drinking water.
2. Monitoring bird health, behaviour, growth, and general welfare.
3. Identifying and reporting sick birds, unusual deaths, and other health concerns to the farm supervisor.
4. Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in poultry houses and surrounding areas.
5. Following farm biosecurity procedures, including the proper use of disinfectants, footbaths, and protective clothing.
6. Collecting and handling eggs where applicable.
7. Assisting with vaccination, medication, weighing, and other routine poultry management activities under supervision.
8. Monitoring feeders, drinkers, and other poultry equipment and reporting faults promptly.
9. Keeping accurate farm records as assigned by the supervisor.
10. Assisting with litter management, waste disposal, and other general farm duties.
11. Following instructions from the farm supervisor and observing all company policies.
12. Ensuring proper care and responsible handling of poultry at all times.
