Responsibilities

Team Leadership

Lead and manage a team of professionals, including Logistics Manager, Warehouse Manager, and Fit out Manager. Provide guidance, support, and coaching to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Set performance goals, conduct regular performance evaluations, and implement development plans to enhance team members' skills and capabilities.

Warehouse Management

Supervise and coordinate warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping. Develop and implement strategies to maximize warehouse efficiency, streamline processes, and reduce costs. Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and implement proper stock rotation to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies. Oversee the maintenance and organization of the warehouse, ensuring a safe and clean working environment.

Logistics

Plan and optimize transportation routes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products to customers. Collaborate with shipping carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to negotiate contracts, track shipments, and resolve any issues. Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor logistics performance and implement improvements as needed. Continuously evaluate and improve logistics processes to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Inventory Management

Develop and implement inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize excess or shortage, and improve inventory accuracy. Conduct regular inventory analyses, identify trends, and implement appropriate measures to mitigate risks and improve forecasting accuracy. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and manage supplier relationships effectively. Collaborate with sales and procurement teams to forecast demand and ensure adequate stock availability.

Subcontractor Management

Identify and engage with subcontractors for various services, such as installation, repair, and maintenance. Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, ensuring their compliance with company standards and performance expectations. Monitor subcontractor performance, evaluate their quality of work, and implement corrective actions when necessary. Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors, including terms, pricing, and service level agreements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field (preferred).

Details of experience

Proven experience in operations management, preferably within the furniture industry or a related field.
