About the role:

The Motion Designer/Illustrator will support the Brand Creative team in shaping our brand storytelling. They will create illustrations, animations, and graphics which are crucial for promoting Deel’s product releases and functionality. The illustrations and animations are key for the customers to understand how our product works, served in a friendly and compelling way. 

What you’ll do at Deel

• Animation and Motion 

  • Ideate and execute animations for advertising, branding, web, social media, paid ads, product and more.


  • Bring user experiences/interfaces and new features to life through motion design that leverages the Deel brand style. 


  • Think at scale from small product placements to TV spots

• Illustration 

  • Ideate and execute illustrations for advertising, branding, web, social media, product and more.


  • Create on-brand illustrations that simplify complex or abstract topics using visual metaphor, user interfaces, and iconography.


  • Think at scale from tiny product icons to highway billboard illustrations.

• Graphic Design

  • Create static graphics that leverage illustration, icons, UI, and photography to enhance communications on a range of topics and across multiple touch points.


  • Take ownership of the imagery element of full spread campaigns and build campaign imagery ecosystems with cohesive deliverables.


  • Use a solid design foundation to jump in on projects involving layout, typography, and infographics. 

• Templates, libraries, and guidelines 

  • Create and add to our design system by setting guidelines, usage suggestions and process protocols for animation and illustration.


  • Build motion guidelines and libraries and scale our illustration templates and libraries to allow for brand cohesion across our in-house and freelance creatives.

• Self-Project management

  • Communicate directly with stakeholders to investigate creative requests, gather the necessary information, establish timelines and expectations and present updates and creative work.

  • Communicate design rationale, seek feedback, and iterate on concepts in a timely and constructive manner. 

Some Key Qualifications

• A degree in illustration, animation, design or similar

• 3+ years of experience in-house or at a creative agency

• A portfolio demonstrating strong illustration and animation skills

• A portfolio demonstrating strong illustration and animation skills, including visuals that relate to product UI, CX and digital interfaces

• Proven conceptual and storytelling skills

• A bravery to push the creative boundaries

• An enthusiastic self-starter who not only listens to the directions but who also proposes proactive ideas and takes ownership

• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Figma

• Fluent in english language
