Molecular Diagnostic Manager, Reagent Manufacturing

Microhaem — the first 4th-generation IVD manufacturing plant in Africa — is looking for an experienced Molecular Diagnostic Manager to own the end-to-end manufacturing of molecular diagnostic reagents. This is a leadership role for someone who combines strong technical depth in molecular reagent production with proven experience scaling processes from pilot to commercial batches under GMP/ISO 13485 quality systems, delivering products that compete globally.

Tasks

• 
  
• Oversee the development and production of molecular diagnostic reagents, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  
• Lead a team of scientists and technicians in the research and innovation of new reagent formulations to enhance diagnostic accuracy and efficiency.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align manufacturing processes with the latest technological advancements and industry best practices.
  
• Implement and monitor quality control measures throughout the manufacturing process to ensure product consistency and reliability.
  
• Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation to optimize reagent manufacturing operations and meet organizational goals.
  

Requirements

• 
  
• Bachelor's or Master's in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related field5+ years hands-on experience in molecular diagnostic production within a GMP/ISO 13485-compliant environment3+ years leading molecular reagent production teamsProven track record scaling up molecular diagnostic reagent manufacturing under GMP/ISO 13485At least 4 of your 5+ years in a GMP/ISO 13485-compliant manufacturing leadership capacity
