Local coordinator/National Expert

🎯 Your mission

As part of a digital transformation project carried out in Uganda, Pepps Engineering is looking for a local expert, or a local company able to act as an expert, with strong IT/digital expertise and a proven track record of working with NITA-U (National Information Technology Authority – Uganda).

You will act as the local relay for the project, ensuring the link between the Pepps Engineering teams, our partner and the Ugandan institutional stakeholders — including NITA-U — to guarantee the proper implementation of the project in compliance with the regulatory framework and national standards on digital and data matters.

🛠️ Your responsibilities

• Act as the local representative of the project in Uganda and liaise with institutional stakeholders, including NITA-U
• Support the project's compliance with the regulatory framework and national standards on digital, data and cybersecurity matters
• Facilitate the exchanges, administrative procedures and approvals required with NITA-U and other relevant authorities
• Bring IT/digital expertise to the deployment, integration or local adaptation of solutions
• Contribute to the analysis of needs and technical constraints specific to the Ugandan market
• Act as a local point of contact and advisor throughout the project
• Work closely with the project teams based in Belgium

👤 Profile sought

• Independent expert or local company able to act as an expert
• Proven experience in the IT / digital sector
• Higher education degree in computer science, information technology or an equivalent field
• Proven experience on one or more projects related to NITA-U (National Information Technology Authority – Uganda)
• Good knowledge of the Ugandan digital and regulatory ecosystem
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with remote teams
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with institutional stakeholders
• Professional English required (French or Swali is a plus)
