Overall Purpose
To provide the manual labor required for rapid loading/unloading and to serve as the driver’s essential assistant, ensuring cargo security and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Safe Handling & Loading
- Master the technique of stacking crates to prevent toppling during transit and minimize breakages.
- Assist in loading trucks and tuk-tuks according to the loading schedule provided by the Stock Controller.
Security & Customer Service
- Guard the vehicle and stock when the driver is away or when parked at busy trading centers.
- Assist shopkeepers by carrying crates into their stores, maintaining a polite and helpful attitude.
- Assist the driver with navigation and vehicle checks.
Site Maintenance
- Ensure the warehouse floor is swept and free of broken glass or debris at the end of each day.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Speed: Consistent loading/unloading times meet or exceed operational targets.
- Quality: Zero reported incidents of product mishandling (breakages due to negligence).
- Reliability: 100% attendance and punctuality.
