Laboratory Pre-Analytical Officer

Requirements

• Must have a diploma or certificate in laboratory technology from a reputable institute.
  
• Must have a minimum of 2 years working experience in Laboratory Pre- Analytical in a busy laboratory setting.
  

Required skills and competences.

• Strong understanding of ISO 15189:2022 requirements especially in preanalytical processes
  
• Ability to conduct training to match the expectations of the preanalytical requirements
  
• Experience of shipping processes within and out of the country.
  

• Contribution to annual organizational logistics strategy with specific regards to pre-analytical laboratory matters.
  
• Review all preanalytical processes to ensure effective communication bridging the gap between clients and the lab to ensure the goal is achieved.
  
• Liaises with clients to resolve service-related issues, maintains positive image of the organization.
  
• Advises project teams on preanalytical process and lean system to ensure to ensure correct working procedures are implemented and staff are trained accordingly.
  
• Oversees extraction of preanalytical laboratory management reports and analyses trends to implement or recommend corrective actions.
  
• Manages the correct application of quality assurance process and standard operating procedures within preanalytical laboratory environment to ensure corrective actions are taken as required.
  
• Coordinates courier department in terms of duty roster, sample pick-ups, covers to ensure efficiency and effective service delivery.
  
• Oversees samples dispatch to different c-lab as per different perform sites.
  
• Coordinates sample referrals outside C-lab and prompt results follow up to maintain quality.
  
• Provide overall direction and management in preanalytical department and laboratory administrative and support function to fulfill organization objectives, achieving specific goals and maximizing profits and efficiency.
  
• Support in performing investigations and resolve customer complaints to ensure positive image of the organization is upheld and promote service of the C-lab.
