JOB PURPOSE
The IT Officer — Mobile Applications Development is primarily responsible for designing,developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality mobile applications for both Android and iOS platforms using Flutter, Node.js, and Python. The role supports Klan Logistics’ digital transformation agenda by building intuitive and reliable mobile solutions that enhance operational efficiency across the Fleet, Operations, Finance, Distribution and any other functions. The officer will integrate mobile applications with existing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Information Management Systems to ensure seamless data flow, real-time visibility, and informed decision-making across the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Mobile Application Development
• Design, develop, test, and deploy cross-platform mobile applications for Android and iOS using Flutter.
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable back-end code using Node.js and Python to support mobile application functionality.
• Implement user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) best practices to deliver intuitive and responsive mobile applications.
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and debugging to ensure application stability and performance.
• Maintain version control using Git and participate in code reviews to uphold coding standards.
• Collaborate with other developers to produce miles that push project forward in using Agile, hybrids methodologies while adhering to Secure software development lifecycles.
2. ERP & Information Management System Integration
• Integrate mobile applications with the company’s existing ERP system to enable real-time data exchange across Fleet, Operations, Finance, and Distribution modules.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and web services to facilitate seamless communication between mobile applications and enterprise back-end systems.
• Collaborate with ERP administrators and system owners to understand data structures, workflows, and integration requirements.
• Ensure data integrity and security during integration processes, adhering to established data governance policies.
3. Documentation & Reporting
• Gather app requirements from both internal and external customers.
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation including application specifications, API documentation, and user guides.
• Provide regular progress updates to the Technology Manager on development milestones, challenges, and release timelines.
• Maintain detailed records of application versions, change logs, and deployment notes.
4. Continuous Improvement & Support
• Monitor live application performance and respond promptly to reported bugs, crashes, or performance issues.
• Continuously evaluate emerging mobile development frameworks, tools, and best practices to recommend improvements.
• Participate in training sessions, workshops, and capacity-building activities
• Comply with all company IT policies, data protection regulations, and cybersecurity guidelines.
MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Academic & Professional

Education Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Computer Science / Software Engineering/ IT Required
Additional Certifications Relevant certifications in mobile development (e.g., Google Associate Android Developer, Flutter certification) orrelated technologies and platforms. Mobile Development / Cloud / API Added Advantage
