JOB ADVERTISEMENT – ARCHITECT (Full-Time)

EURO FMCG LTD is seeking to recruit a qualified, experienced, and highly competent Architect to join our team for an upcoming development project located in Mukono, Namataba Town Council. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, creativity, project management skills, and hands-on experience in architectural design and supervision.

Key Duties & Responsibilities (Job Description)

• Develop architectural concepts, drawings, and detailed construction plans for new projects.
• Prepare and interpret designs, sketches, site plans, and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers, quantity surveyors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure alignment on project requirements.
• Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and participate in site supervision during construction.
• Ensure all designs comply with Uganda building codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare bill of quantities inputs, cost estimates, material specifications, and project timelines.
• Provide oversight during project implementation to ensure quality, structural integrity, and adherence to approved designs.
• Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, and monitor progress against project milestones.
• Advise management on design solutions, construction challenges, and required project adjustments.
• Prepare reports, documentation, and presentations for management review.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are integrated in all design and construction activities.

Person Specifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.
• Registered Architect or at minimum eligible for registration with the Architects Registration Board (ARB) is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 6 years’ working experience in general architectural practice (design, supervision, and project management).
• Strong knowledge of Ugandan building standards, planning regulations, and statutory approval processes.
• Excellent proficiency in architectural design software including AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, and other relevant tools.
• Proven experience in coordinating multi-disciplinary teams on construction projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and concept development skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, structural details, and engineering input.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and report-writing skills.
• High integrity, professionalism, and ability to work under minimum supervision.
• Willingness to work full-time based in Mukono, Namataba Town Council.
