Hair Dresser/Stylist

Job Description – Hairdresser (Plaiting Specialist)Main Responsibilities

• Do chemical services such as retouch, hair colouring, and basic hair treatments.
• Plait pencil lines/lines braids neatly with clean parting.
• Make knotless braids of all sizes (small, medium, large) and different lengths.
• Do weaving of all kinds, including tracks, stitching, closures, and frontals.
• Install and style wigs, including melting, customizing, and maintenance.
• Start and maintain dreadlocks (loc starting, retwisting, grooming).
• Do crochet hairstyles for all braid types.
• Make clean stitched cornrows for both men and women.
• Do general hairstyling for everyday looks, photo shoots, and events.
• Give clients a relaxing head massage during washing or treatments.
• Keep the workstation clean, organized, and hygienic at all times.
• Advise clients on hairstyles that suit them and recommend proper haircare.
• Handle clients professionally and make sure they leave satisfied.
• Keep up-to-date with trending hairstyles and plaiting techniques.

Qualifications & SkillsStrong experience in hair plaiting and protective hairstyles.

• Must be fast, neat, and able to work with both natural hair and hair extensions.
• Good at communication and customer care.
• Creative, disciplined, and able to work under pressure.
• Ready to work flexible hours, weekends, and busy days.
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
