About you
To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 5 years of work experience in finance or accounting, 2 of them in an NGO, and have local partner-related experience. Moreover, we also expect the following.
Required
A Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance, or Accounting.
Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
Advanced skills in Excel and Accounting systems.
Good background in accounting and finance
Robust character.
Team player and proven commitment to accountability practices.
Knowledge of both written & spoken English
Finance and Accounting:
Support on banking and petty cash payments on a need basis.
Review payment documents for accuracy, compliance with DRC/donor policies, and completeness.
Maintain cash books and ensure that all cash books are uploaded into SharePoint.
Ensure all documents are scanned and uploaded to Dynamics.
Local Partners
Participate in partner selection process, including due diligence and risk assessment.
Participate in kick-off workshops and capacity-building events as requested by the partner teams, liaising with Human Resources, Logistics, and Programmes departments.
Maintain budget oversight and review of partner financials against the project’s milestones achieved.
Conduct monitoring and follow-up visits to partners, liaising between partnership programme staff and partners’ focal points
Compliance & Reporting
Support in audits
In consultations with the Finance Manager and Head of Support Services, make regular technical support field visits to partners and the DRC field office on compliance.
Any other duties as agreed with the Finance Manager and Head of Support Services.
