Field Officer (FO)
Job summary
A Field Officer (FO) is primarily responsible for managing a portfolio of SAJIDA Micro Loan (SML), which involves marketing/surveying, group formation, loan origination, loan disbursement, weekly/biweekly/monthly instalment collection, delinquency management & administrative work. The position requires regular field visits to monitor group activities, maintain accurate records, and ensure adherence to organizational policies and rules.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Achieving the organization’s set targets regarding Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as several clients, portfolio outstanding & Portfolio at Risk (PAR).
- Originating loans, filling up loan application forms, verifying the clients & guarantors, and getting approval from the Branch Manager.
- Submitting approved loan application forms to the Branch accountant at least a day before the disbursement, ensuring the exact clients get the loan, & orient the client on the loan amount, weekly installment amount, fees & charges, security amounts & necessary documentation.
- Realizing weekly loan instalments & advances from group members, recording them on the respective client’s passbook & group resolution book. Securely protecting the realized amount while transporting it to other groups & back to the office.
- Updating the exact loan installment realization via the mobile app at the group & syncing the installment into the system when back in the office.
- Depositing loan installment realization & advance realization to the accountant in time, writing the cashbook & signing on the depositor’s space for the amount deposited.
- Processing security return & security adjustment in the presence of the client, signing on the security return register for each security adjustment & security return.
- Maintain accurate loan-related forms and registers daily, avoiding corrections with white ink.
- Mastering the organization’s mission, vision & values to practice them on a day-Today's activities. Ensuring Health, Happiness & Dignity for all.
- Complying with all manuals & policies outlined by the organization.
- Attend the office on time, sign the branch office's attendance and movement register regularly.
- Preparing and submitting daily/weekly/monthly plans for loan disbursement to the Branch Manager.
- Preserving all official documents in accordance with the data privacy policy of the organization.
- Attending meetings & trainings organized by the institution.
- Preparing, Analyzing & submitting daily/weekly/monthly performance-related reports to the supervisor.
- Joining & leading teamwork regularly to help & uplift branch performance.
- Always refrain from fraudulent activities, financial & non-financial irregularities. Attend administrative proceedings outlined by the organization once proven with fraud & misappropriation.
- Performing any other responsibility assigned by the management.
Compensation
● Salary: UGX 500,000 – 600,000
Note:
Please note that successful candidates must be willing and able to relocate from Kampala (or their current location) to any part of the country where the company has branches.
