Key Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries & Aquaculture, Veterinary Medicine, Zoology, Animal Science, or a related field.
- 1–3 years’ experience in laboratory work, feed quality control, or aquaculture operations is an added advantage.
- Basic understanding of feed quality parameters and laboratory procedures.
Feed Inspection & Sampling
- Inspect feed upon arrival for physical quality parameters such as durability, color, odor, contamination, and general condition.
- Collect feed samples from trucks according to established sampling procedures.
- Report any deviations or non-conformities to the Laboratory Team Lead in a timely manner.
Laboratory Testing & Analysis
- Conduct physical and proximate analyses including Floatability, bulk density, buoyancy, moisture, crude protein, fat, ash, fiber, and other required parameters.
- Ensure testing procedures follow approved SOPs and quality standards.
- Record and verify results accurately before submission for review.
Data Management & Reporting
- Enter laboratory results accurately into approved databases and reporting systems.
- Prepare routine feed quality reports for review by the Laboratory Team Lead.
- Maintain organized and traceable laboratory records for audits and reference.
Laboratory Housekeeping & Stock Management
- Maintain cleanliness, order, and safety within the laboratory.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of samples and reagents.
- Monitor laboratory consumables and notify the Team Lead when stock replenishment is required.
- Conduct calibration and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment.
