Job Summary
The DSA Manager is responsible for recruiting, training, managing, and motivating a high-performing team of Direct Sales Agents (DSAs) to achieve sales and customer acquisition targets. The role focuses on driving market expansion, increasing product adoption, ensuring excellent customer engagement, and maintaining high standards of sales execution across assigned territories.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales Leadership
- Develop and execute strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Lead and manage a team of Direct Sales Agents across assigned regions.
- Monitor daily sales activities and provide coaching to improve performance.
- Identify new market opportunities and drive customer acquisition initiatives.
- Ensure consistent implementation of sales campaigns and promotional activities.
Team Management
- Recruit, onboard, and train new Direct Sales Agents.
- Conduct regular field visits to coach and mentor sales teams.
- Set individual performance targets and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Foster a high-performance, customer-focused sales culture.
- Address performance gaps through coaching and development plans.
Business Development
- Build relationships with local communities, businesses, cooperatives, NGOs, and strategic partners.
- Identify high-potential markets and develop expansion plans.
- Collect market intelligence on competitors, customer needs, and pricing trends.
- Recommend strategies to improve market penetration and sales effectiveness.
Sales Operations
- Monitor sales pipeline and conversion rates.
- Ensure accurate reporting of daily and weekly sales activities.
- Maintain proper documentation of customer records and sales transactions.
- Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to ensure timely product delivery.
- Support inventory planning based on sales forecasts.
Customer Experience
- Ensure customers receive excellent pre-sales and post-sales support.
- Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
- Promote customer satisfaction and encourage referrals.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales performance reports.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend corrective actions.
- Present sales forecasts and territory performance updates to management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–4 years of sales experience, with at least 2 years in a sales leadership role.
- Experience managing field sales teams or Direct Sales Agents is highly preferred.
- Experience in solar energy, consumer durable goods, fintech, microfinance, telecommunications, or FMCG is an advantage.
