Job Purpose

The resource will be responsible for creating and publishing various types of digital content,  including but not limited to social media posts, blog articles, videos, infographics, and email  newsletters. They must be able to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines. The ideal candidate should be creative, detail oriented, and have experience with content management systems and social media platforms. 


Job description

A creative and detail-oriented individual who will be responsible for producing and publishing various types of digital content. In this position, the Digital Content Creator will be expected to  collaborate with the marketing team to develop content strategies that align with the company's goals. He/she will also be responsible for creating engaging and informative content, including blog  posts, social media posts, and videos. 


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations, coordinating events and meetings, handling membership inquiries and renewals, maintaining records and databases and supporting the board of directors and  executive team. 
  • Create and publish engaging content for various digital platforms including social media,  blogs, and websites. 
  • Collaborate with the marketing director to develop content strategies that align with the association’s goals. 
  • Research and stay up to date on industry trends and best practices to ensure content is relevant and effective. 
  • Produce high-quality multimedia content including images, videos, and infographics. 
  • Manage and maintain content calendars to ensure timely delivery of content. 
  • Monitor and analyse the performance of content and adjust strategies as needed. 
  • Collaborate with other board members around the design and product development to  ensure content is aligned with brand standards and product offerings. 
  • Stay up to date with digital media technologies and trends and incorporate them into  content strategies and tactics. 
  • Manage and maintain relationships with external vendors such as photographers,  videographers, and writers. 
  • Ensure all content is optimized for search engines and meets accessibility standards. 


Requirements and Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a Digital Content Creator or similar role 
  • Relevant experience in office administration, event coordination, customer service, and  strong communication 
  • Excellent writing and editing skills in English. 
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) 
  • Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics 
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and their respective audiences 
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field
  • Classified as Internal use only 
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or similar software 
  • Experience with video editing software (e.g., Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and innovative  digital content 
  • A degree, diploma or certificate in marketing, business administration, management or a related field is preferred.
  • Classified as Internal use only
