We’re seeking a creative, self-driven Designer to turn client needs and site measurements into clear 3D proposals and detailed drawings that guide client decisions and support accurate costing.

Job descriptions & requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop accurate 3D design proposals for kitchens, closets, TV units, doors and other interior woodwork projects
  • Create detailed layout plans, elevations, sections and technical drawings for client presentation and internal use
  • Interpret site measurements, photos and site reports to produce designs that fit actual space conditions
  • Select appropriate materials, colours, fittings and hardware based on client needs and manufacturing standards
  • Prepare multiple design options for clients where necessary and revise designs based on feedback
  • Collaborate closely with the Quotation Specialist to ensure accurate costing of all designs
  • Work with the Head of Design & Quoting to confirm technical feasibility and resolve design challenges
  • Ensure all designs meet Impact Woods’ manufacturing capabilities, quality standards and modern interior design trends
  • Maintain organised project files and follow internal naming and documentation standards
  • Produce clear visual renderings to support client understanding and decision-making
  • Support the production team with technical clarifications when required


Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Industrial Art, Interior Design, Furniture Design, or a related field
  • Proficiency in SketchUp or similar 3D design software
  • Strong understanding of interior woodwork design (kitchens, closets, TV units, doors)
  • Ability to convert site measurements into accurate, practical design layouts
  • Good communication skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask effectively


Added Advantage

  • Experience designing or detailing interior woodwork projects
  • Knowledge of boards and timber, hardware, fittings and modern joinery
  • Familiarity with technical drawings for carpentry or manufacturing
  • Experience working in a workshop or production environment
