Crossing Guards Permanent and Substitutes Needed

The McKinney Independent School District needs Crossing Guards and Crossing Guard Substitutes that can work at various locations throughout MISD as needed. School Crossing Guards escort students to and from school safely across various streets and or intersections.

• Great opportunity for retirees who like to keep active and be a community helper.
• Stay at home moms can make a little extra money and still be with their children.
• Great job for local College Student needing to make extra money and not work long hours.
• We provide on the job training and the safety equipment & gear needed.
• Two hours a day (1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon) five days a week
• Off on all school holidays, teacher professional development days, and summer vacation
• Permanent Crossing Guards work at one location every day. Substitute Crossing Guards work at various locations to cover any absences or open positions.
• $20 an hour
  

Depending on job the assignment (Elementary, Middle or High School) hours are as follows:
Elementary - 7:25 am to 8:25 am & 3:05 pm to 4:05 pm
Middle - 8:05 am to 9:05 am & 3:45 pm to 4:45 pm
High- 6:35 am to 7:35 am & 2:25 pm to 3:25 pm
Substitute Crossing Guard hours vary depending on need and can eventually move up to a permanent position should they choose to do so when there is an open position.
