Job Summary:
The Credit Administrator will supervise a team of credit officers in line with the credit policies, and procedures and set targets as expected from the institution.
Responsibilities:
1. Handling the credit team in managing the daily administration of loan documentation in full compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
2. Review loan documents and liaise with internal and external parties to ensure proper and efficient delivery of credit administration duties.
3. Conduct a periodical review of loan administration policy and procedures to streamline workflow.
4. Control the recording, deposit, and withdrawal of the security documentation properly.
5. Generate, review and maintain loan disbursement reports for presentation to credit committees, and provide monthly reports on the same, in accordance with the credit policy and guidelines.
6. Ensure all lending documentation is complete as per the Company Policy and Procedures with respect to the amount financed, terms and conditions, borrower’s borrowing mandate, authorized signatory etc.
7. Ensure that there is a robust process for the safe custody and control of all security documents.
8. Responsible for collateral valuation, collateral monitoring and collateral reconciliation with original documents.
9. Submit monthly and annual reports to the Supervisor.
10. Assign performance targets to the credit and monitor their performance.
11. Ensuring post-disbursement compliance with approved terms and conditions in line with the credit policy.
12. Generate and review daily system credit monitoring and management reports and identify non-performing accounts with irregularities and proactively follow up to ensure corrective action is taken in line with credit policy.
13. Monitor all irregularities, past dues, documentation deficiencies, etc., and report to the Branch Manager.
14. Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and specifications:
● Hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, microfinance, or any related field.
● Have at least 3-5 years of experience in underwriting, credit analysis, marketing or financial analysis experience; prior experience in a Credit supervisory role is an advantage.
● Strong communication skills, characterized by excellent writing and speaking skills.
● Must possess excellent multi-tasking skills and be able to function under pressure.
● Ability to handle fast-paced environments with minimum supervision and meet project deadlines.
● Ability to use a tablet/smartphone/computer, experience with Google Applications is an advantage.
● Knowledge of asset/motorcycle financing is a plus.
