Twezimbe is building Africa’s most trusted group finance platform, starting with the Group Savings and Bereavement Fund, now ready for full national rollout. From digitising SACCOs to enabling group crowdfunding, we are transforming how communities organise, save, and support each other.
We are now hiring a Country Manager – Uganda to lead the launch, growth, and impact of our platform in Uganda. This is your chance to shape the future of community finance.
Your Mission
Lead the national expansion of Twezimbe. Roll out the Group Savings and Bereavement Fund product across Uganda. Build the brand. Forge strategic partnerships. Grow user adoption. Make Twezimbe a household name.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
1. Bereavement Fund Rollout
a) 1,000+ active bereavement groups, each with an average of 50 users, onboarded in Year 1
b) UGX 10 billion in contributions processed within 12 months
c) 90% fund payout success rate within 48 hours
2. Platform Growth
a) 100,000 active users by end of Year 1
b) UGX 50 billion gross transaction value (GTV) processed
c) 80% monthly retention of active users
3. Partnership Development
a) Sign 5 strategic partnerships (banks, telcos, insurers) within 9 months
b) Secure one district local government MoU per quarter
4. Team & Operations
a) Build and manage a national field and digital growth team
b) Achieve 95%+ user KYC compliance
c) Coordinate launch activities in 10+ districts quarterly
5. Market Readiness for Future Features
a) Establish demand pipelines for SACCO digitisation and crowdfunding modules
b) Run 3 pilot programs for upcoming features in real community settings
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or related field
- 7+ years of experience in growth, partnerships, or operations leadership
- Proven success scaling digital platforms, agent networks, or community-based solutions
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Entrepreneurial DNA with high execution discipline
- Fluency in English and at least one major Ugandan language
