Job Description/Requirements
- The incumbent implements the day- to-day running of the project health activities for the achievement of physical development outcomes.
- Conducts other critical roles for the smooth running of the project as a team member.
- Steers the team in implementing health related standards of the partnership agreement as well as recommended manuals as the health technical staff within the partnership.
- Prepares and submits health related reports to the Project Director and church leadership as a means to monitor and evaluate the health program.
- Acts as consultant on all health issues that affect children and the community by using his or her experience and expertise to challenge, motivate, sensitize and equip the church on ways of preventing diseases, immunization of children, celebration of health days as well as dealing with epidemics.
- Carries out any other project work related duties as assigned by the Project Director.
- The ideal candidates for the CDO Health vacancies should at least hold a Diploma in Education/social work administration, Social work & social Administration, Social sciences, Development Studies, Education, Communication, records management, Nursing, primary healthcare, community health, clinical medicine and any related disciplines.
- Additional formal training in counseling and child development will be an added advantage.
- Previous experience and current knowledge of HIV/AIDS intervention is desirable.
- Good computer skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Customer service orientation.
- Working ability to apply and adapt to established accounting procedures to a variety of accounting transactions, problems and situations.
- Excellent written communication skills and strong verbal communication skills.
- Skills in Project planning and management will be an added advantage.
- Intermediate English ability is preferred.
- Impeccable level of personal integrity.

- Ability to work with and influence others, serves as an advocate for children and their caregivers who live in poverty and are not able to speak out for themselves. This includes being informed about issues affecting children and influencing others to greater involvement on their behalf.
