A skilled CAD Officer is responsible for preparing accurate architectural and construction drawings using computer-aided design software.
The role involves supporting design, planning, and construction processes while ensuring compliance with building standards and project specifications.
Requirements
Academic Qualifications
•Bsc. Civil Engineering or Bsc Building Economics
•Diploma in Architecture ( will be an added advantage)
•Membership with any professional body ( like ISU, UIPE, and related Engineering disciplines) is preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CAD Technician or practitioner, preferably in electrical, building or civil discipline and environment/engineering projects.
1.Prepare and update architectural drawings and construction drawings (plans, elevations, sections, details) using AutoCAD or similar software
2.Interpret sketches, designs, and specifications from architects/engineers
3.Prepare cost estimates for the preliminary designs
4.Produce working drawings for civil construction works
5.Ensure drawings meet project specifications and standards
6.Review of drawings from third parties for accuracy
7.Ensure drawings comply with local building regulations and standards
8.Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, and project team
9.Maintain organized drawing records and project documentation
