To diagnose and manage paediatric patients requiring cardiac surgery, ensuring timely and effective treatment and optimal patient outcomes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Diagnose and treat paediatric conditions and conduct cardiovascular surgeries.
Implement patient care management plans.
Conduct ward rounds in the specialty area.
Participate in training programmes for all health professionals.
Supervise medical officers, interns, and trainees.
Identify procurement needs of the department for equipment, drugs, and other logistics.
Prepare duty rosters.
Person/Job Specifications:
MB.Ch.B. degree or equivalent from a recognized university.
Master of Medicine degree in General Surgery from a recognized university/institution.
Registered with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council.
Valid practicing license.
Experience:
Working experience of at least three (3) years as a Medical Officer.
