Associate Consultant - Cardiac Anaesthesia

To provide specialized anaesthesia services to cardiac patients undergoing cardiac procedures, including preoperative evaluation, intraoperative management, and postoperative critical care, ensuring patient safety and optimal clinical outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Implement patient care plans.
  

• Conduct ward rounds in the specialty area.
  

• Participate in training programmes for health professionals.
  

• Supervise medical officers, interns, and trainees.
  

• Identify procurement needs of the department for equipment, drugs, and other logistics.
  

• Prepare departmental workplans, budgets, and reports.
  

Person/Job Specifications:

• MB.Ch.B. from a recognized university/institution.
  

• Master of Medicine degree in Anaesthesia or its equivalent from a recognized university/institution.
  

• Fellowship or equivalent qualification in Cardiac Anaesthesia.
  

• Registered with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council.
  

• Valid practicing license.
  

Experience:

• Working experience of at least three (3) years in General Anaesthesia.
