Job Description/Requirements
Position: Agriculturist
Location: Kanungu District, Western Uganda
Type: Full-time
Deadline for Applications: 15th July 2025
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and manage a mixed farm (crops and livestock).
- Implement modern and sustainable farming techniques.
- Train farm workers and community members in best agricultural practices.
- Monitor farm operations, productivity, and profitability.
- Participate in planning, budgeting, and reporting.
- Work closely with local leaders and farmer groups.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Must be a graduate (Certificate, Diploma, or Degree) in Agriculture, Agronomy, Animal Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ hands-on experience in managing or working on a mixed farm.
- Strong knowledge in both crop and animal husbandry.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and training skills.
- Willing to live and work in a rural area (Kanungu District).
