Job Description
The Agency for Cooperation in Research and Development – Uganda (ACORD -U) has had operations in Uganda since 1979. Currently, ACORD-U operates in more than 43 Districts across the country with thematic focus on; Health, Livelihoods, Climate change, WASH, IWRM, Research | and Peace Building.
ACORD-U is implementing the USAID OVC West Central Activity. The Activity goal is to attain improved well-being of children and youth through comprehensive interventions that enhance sustainable prevention of new HIV infections and continued care for OVC and their caregivers and expand access to core services. The expected results of the Activity include: Strengthened and sustained identification, retention, and viral suppression of children and adolescents with HIV, along with their caregivers, Improved health, prospects, and reduced risk of violence and HIV for highly vulnerable adolescents, and Strengthened prevention and response to violence against children and youth.
Responsibilities
• Oversee day-to-day operations.
• Design strategy and set goals for growth.
• Maintain budgets and optimize expenses.
• Set policies and processes.
• Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally.
• Oversee recruitment and training of new employees.
