Ignite Change

Ignite Change is a faith-based nonprofit working in Northern Uganda to support vulnerable households and youth to move from poverty toward stable, self-reliant livelihoods. Our work is grounded in Christian values and focuses on restoring dignity, building confidence, and strengthening families and communities alongside economic outcomes.

We operate two core programs. The first is Rise Above Poverty (RAP), a household and community empowerment model that supports vulnerable families through structured training and mentorship in a Bible foundation, financial literacy, community-based saving groups, entrepreneurship, life skills, and social inclusion. 

The second is our Vocational Training Institute (VTI), which equips vulnerable youth with practical, market-relevant vocational skills through hands-on training, while also strengthening foundational skills such as English, math, computer skills, entrepreneurship, and life skills within an innovative and supportive environment.
