Responsible for: Assistant Engineering officer (Electrical)
Assistant physical planner
Assistant Engineering officer (Civil)
Assistant Water Officer
Job Purpose
To provide technical support services in the area of engineering to the Urban Council.
Key Outputs
•Plans for the Urban Council designed;
•Roads and other civil works constructed and maintained;
•Plans for civil works verified and approved; and
•Technical reports prepared.
Key Functions
•Designing plans for the Urban Council;
•Constructing and maintaining roads and other civil works;
•Verifying and approving plans for civil works; and
•Preparing technical reports.
Person Specifications
Qualifications
•Should hold an Honours Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institution.
•Post graduate Diploma in Civil Works from a recognized university/Institution.
(ii) Experience:
At least three years of practical experience at the level of a Civil Engineer
Applications should be submitted in triplicate on PSF Forms 3(Revised 2008) to the Secretary District Service Commission P. O. Box 28 KITGUM to reach not later than 09/04/ 2015 at 5:00pm.
Application forms are obtainable from Chief Administrative Officers’ office, Secretaries of District Service Commissions or Public Service Commission in Kampala and the District Website. Handwritten applications with detailed curriculum vitae are also acceptable.
