Role Description The Speech and Language Therapist will provide assessment, diagnosis, and therapy for children and adults with speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication difficulties. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting detailed evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, delivering evidence-based therapy sessions, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation. The therapist will collaborate with physicians, psychologists, educators, and families to support holistic care and monitor progress over time. The role also involves educating caregivers about home-based strategies, participating in multidisciplinary case discussions, and contributing to service development within the clinic. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Brite Medical Centre in Old Airport.
Qualifications
- Relevant degree in Speech and Language Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, or Communication Disorders from an accredited institution.
- Valid professional license or eligibility for licensing/registration in the applicable jurisdiction; previous clinical experience in a healthcare or educational setting is preferred.
- Strong skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for a range of speech, language, and communication disorders across age groups.
- Ability to deliver evidence-based interventions, track outcomes, and adapt therapy plans according to individual needs and cultural context.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams, including clear documentation and report writing.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical practice, patient-centered care, confidentiality, and professional development through ongoing learning.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced clinical environment, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a structured caseload.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications and electronic medical records; experience in bilingual or multilingual settings is an advantage.
