Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Gender Studies, Development Studies, Community Psychology.
- Demonstrated experience in GBV case management and PSS.
- Strong understanding of GBV guiding principles and Inter-Agency GBV Minimum Standards.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and survivor-support skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with strict confidentiality.
- Strong facilitation and community engagement skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic data management tools.
- Experience of working with UN or Non‐Governmental organizations.
- Good knowledge of GBV prevention approaches (SASA Together and EMAP).
- Good Knowledge of UNHCR ProGres v4-GBV Module.
- Familiarity with Monitoring & Evaluation for UN-funded projects desired.
- Experience in motorcycle riding.
Project development, implementation and reporting
- Support protection risk assessment in the GBV field and ongoing risks analysis to design adequate responses.
- Engage men, boys, women, and girls to promote positive gender norms and GBV risk mitigation.
- Work closely with community leaders and structures to strengthen GBV prevention mechanisms.
- Oversee the daily quality implementation, monitoring and evaluation of GBV- related activities in Bidi-Bidi.
Coordination and representation
- Develop relationships with a range of key stakeholders, including donors, Local Government, and other stakeholders on the GBV thematic areas at the field level in close cooperation with the Protection Team Leader.
- Representation of DRC and active participation in the local GBV working groups and any other protection coordination meetings at field level.
- Ensure close co-ordination in project implementation with partners (UN agencies and national/international NGOs), including referrals, protection gap analysis, and advocacy.
Staff development and management
- Provide technical and programmatic leadership for the GBV case workers and GBV community-based mechanisms in Bidi-Bidi settlement area as needed.
- Provide technical leadership to the GBV case workers in the case management work.
- Ensure all cases are up to date (filling system and proGresV4) and progressing well and in line with UNHCR and DRC standard tools.
Logistics /Finance
- Support the Protection Team Leader to monitor financial commitments and expenditures against budgets and provide timely feedback on budget follow-ups.
- Proactively plan and coordinate logistics and movements of staff to and from different zones.
