Job Purpose / Objective:
Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining software solutions that enhance the efficiency, automation, and effectiveness of various road construction processes.
Integrates technology to streamline operations and improve project management within the company.
Promotes programming skills to create software applications that optimize road construction activities, enhance data analysis, and contribute to the successful execution of construction projects.
Job Roles and Responsibilities:
Software Development:
• Design, develop, and test software applications that meet the specific needs of road construction projects.
• Create user-friendly interfaces and functional components for various software tools.
Data Management:
• Develop databases and data management systems to store and retrieve project-related information.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security.
Automation and Integration:
• Implement automation solutions that streamline repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
• Integrate software systems to facilitate seamless information flow between different departments.
Project Management Tools:
• Develop software tools for project planning, scheduling, tracking, and resource allocation.
• Enhance project management capabilities through technology.
GIS and Mapping:
• Create Geographic Information Systems (GIS) applications for spatial data analysis, mapping, and route planning.
• Integrate GIS data with project planning and execution.
Reporting and Analytics:
• Design and implement reporting and analytics tools that provide insights into project progress, resource utilization, and cost management.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
• Identify and resolve software bugs, glitches, and performance issues.
• Provide ongoing maintenance and updates to ensure software remains functional and up to date.
Collaboration:
• Collaborate with other departments, engineers, and project managers to understand software requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
• Performs any other duty as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

• Software Development Cycle Time: Measure the time taken to develop and deploy software applications.
• Software Reliability: Evaluate the functionality and stability of developed software solutions.
• Automation Impact: Assess the level of process automation achieved through developed tools.

• Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or others relevant to software development.
• Software Development: Ability to design, develop, and deploy software applications.
