Job summary

To oversee sectoral programs under the CFCT (Child-Focused Community Transformation) program in Kamuli and Luuka districts. Program Leads are responsible for the full project cycle management of multiple projects within their assigned sector. This includes proposal development, project planning, budget oversight, staff supervision M&E, reporting.

Job descriptions & requirements

1. Project & Program Management

  • Lead the full project cycle for multiple sector-specific projects, including:
  • Development of sustainable and context-appropriate project proposals
  • Project planning and budget development
  • Identification and mitigation of project risks
  • Oversight of project implementation in the field
  • Ongoing monitoring during implementation
  • Evaluation and performance management upon project completion
  • Preparation of clear, accurate, and timely narrative reports


2. People Management & Capacity Building

  • Supervise and manage sector staff.
  • Support staff through coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job capacity building.
  • Promote accountability, professionalism, and teamwork within the sector team.


3. Budget Oversight & Resource Coordination

  • Monitor project budgets and expenditures at the program level.
  • Work closely with the Finance Team to ensure:
  • Budget compliance
  • Proper financial planning
  • Timely use of project resources
  • Ensure efficient and responsible use of program resources.


4. Christian Identity & Child-Centered Approach

  • Demonstrate a clear commitment to Christian faith and uphold IDI Uganda’s Christian values in all aspects of work.
  • Ensure sector activities reflect a child-centered, community-based approach.
