Job Description

Job Purpose / Objective:
i. Lead, coordinate, and optimize quarry and crushing operations, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality materials for road construction projects.
ii. Responsible for the overall management of the quarry and crusher operations, meeting production targets, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
iii. Manage all aspects of quarry operations, including the extraction of raw materials, crushing processes, equipment maintenance, safety compliance, and production efficiency.
iv. Ensure the availability of quality materials for road construction projects while maintaining a safe and productive working environment.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Quarry Operations Management: Oversee and manage all quarry and crusher operations, including extraction, processing, and production.
2. Quality Control: Ensure that raw materials and crushed materials meet specified quality standards.
3. Equipment Management: Manage the operation, maintenance, and repair of quarry and crusher machinery.
4. Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
5. Resource Allocation: Assign tasks and allocate resources to quarry and crusher staff.
6. Material Stockpile Management: Manage and organize stockpiles of raw materials and crushed materials.
7. Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and practices.
8. Budget Management: Monitor and manage the budget for quarry and crusher operations.
9. Performance Analysis: Analyze production data and implement improvements to optimize operations.
10. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate quarry and crusher staff, ensuring efficient collaboration.
11. Reporting: Provide regular reports on production, maintenance, safety, and quality metrics.
12. Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and suppliers.
13. Collaboration: Coordinate with construction teams to communicate test results and provide recommendations.
14. Performs any other duty as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

2. Quality Assurance: Ensuring that raw materials and crushed materials meet quality standards.

5. Resource Allocation: Effective allocation of labor and equipment resources.
6. Budget Adherence: Staying within allocated budget for quarry and crusher operations.
7. Environmental Compliance: Adherence to environmental regulations and best practices.
8. Operational Efficiency: Implementing improvements to optimize production processes.
9. Team Performance: Efficient collaboration and performance of quarry and crusher staff.

Work Experience, Skills and Knowledge:
1. Leadership: Ability to lead and manage quarry and crusher teams effectively.
2. Quarry and Crusher Operations Knowledge: Strong understanding of operations, equipment, and safety procedures.
3. Quality Control Expertise: Skill in ensuring materials meet specified quality standards.
4. Safety Focus: Prioritizing safety and enforcing safety protocols in operations.
5. Problem-Solving: Addressing challenges related to operations, equipment maintenance, and quality.
6. Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication with team members, contractors, and stakeholders.
7. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with quarry and crusher machinery, equipment maintenance, and production processes.
8. Environmental Awareness: Understanding and adhering to environmental regulations and practices.
9. Budget Management: Ability to manage and monitor budget allocations for operations.
10. Professionalism: Maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
11. Working experience: Possession 10 years working experience obtained in equivalent capacity of which 5 years in supervisory capacity.
