About US:
The
Strengthening Partnerships, Results and Innovations in Nutrition Globally
(SPRING) Project is a five-year cooperative agreement funded by the United
States Agency for International Development (USAID) and managed by JSI Research
& Training Institute Inc. with partners, Helen Keller International, the
Manoff Group, Save the Children, and the International Food Policy Research
Institute (IFPRI). SPRINGs overarching
vision is to reduce under-nutrition, prevent stunting, and work with women of
reproductive age and children aged 6-23 months on reducing anemia. SPRING aims
to strengthen country efforts to scale up high-impact nutrition practices and
policies to improve maternal and child nutrition outcomes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Carry out timely data collection, entry and
reporting on program indicators,
Support the program and district staff in planning,
designing, undertaking program monitoring, and evaluations/assessment,
Provide support to district staff (Health workers,
Health Assistants and VHT Coordinators) in preparing and submitting timely
quality progress reports, and data collection.
Work closely with program staff to plan, conduct
and/or facilitate programming related capacity building activities, e.g.,
trainings
Conduct field visits to delivery units and communities
to monitor progress,
Provide guidance and mentorship of district and
community teams on use of data collection tools
Perform the role of interpersonal communication for
MNP adherence at house hold level.
Perform any other duties assigned by the M&E
Analyst
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
The ideal candidate should hold a University degree in
Social Science, Development Studies, social work and social administration,
Nutrition, Nursing or in any related fields,
A minimum of two years experience in data collection,
compilation and entry, and operation research activities as well as principles
of data quality.
Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets,
data entry and analysis packages Previous experience or training in project
monitoring, and experience with surveys, data analysis and reporting is an
added advantage
Past exposure and experience working in a USAID
funded projects is an added advantage
Demonstrate professional maturity
Excellent interpersonal skills
Good teamwork
Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
Ability to clean data from project studies and assessments
Keen attention to details
