Job Description
Job Purpose / Objective:
i. Responsible for managing and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure and systems to ensure the smooth operation of technology resources that support various business functions.
ii. Ensuring that the company’s IT systems are secure, efficient, and aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
iii. Oversee the company’s IT technical support, and implement technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency and contribute to the success of road construction projects.
Job Roles and Responsibilities:
1. IT Infrastructure Management:
i. Maintain and manage the company’s network, servers, and hardware components.
ii. Monitor and ensure the availability and performance of IT systems.
iii. Install, configure, and maintain software applications used in the construction process.
iv. Manage cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data and prevent breaches.
2. Technical Support:
i. Provide technical assistance to employees regarding hardware, software, and network issues.
ii. Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related problems promptly.
iii. Offer guidance on using IT tools effectively for project management and collaboration.
3. Data Management:
i. Manage data backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity.
ii. Implement data storage solutions that align with the company’s needs.
iii. Maintain databases and ensure data accuracy.
4. IT Asset Management:
i. Manage the procurement, deployment, and retirement of IT equipment and software.
ii. Keep track of IT assets and licenses to ensure compliance.
5. Software and System Maintenance:
i. Keep software applications and systems up-to-date with the latest patches and upgrades.
ii. Perform routine system maintenance tasks to optimize performance.
6. Project Involvement:
i. Collaborate with project teams to identify IT requirements for specific road construction projects.
ii. Provide technical input during project planning and execution phases.
7. User Training: Conduct training sessions for employees to enhance their IT skills and awareness.
8. Collaboration: Coordinate with construction teams to communicate resolutions and provide recommendations.
9. Performs any other duty as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
