HSE Specialist Intern
The HSE Specialist Intern supports local management in establishing and continuously improving Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) culture at the worksite.
Responsibilities

  • Develop awareness and ensure HSE policies and standards are an integral part of the worksite.
  • Assist the team with implementing the HSE Management System, monitoring HSE objectives, assessing local risks and generating local HSE procedures.
  • Monitoring HSE plans and compliance to policies, standards and procedures.
  • Coordinate HSE training.
  • Review of HSE documentation and training material
  • Monitor and follow up on HSE reports and HSE audits.
  • Recommend improvements to the HSE program.
  • Analyze HSE trends for the location.

Experience & Exposures

  • Recent graduate in a Health, Safety and Environment related field.
  • Good communication skills
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office.
  • Ability to learn quickly and translate learning into practical solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to use own initiative.
  • Able to follow company policies including Personnel, Quality System, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) standards and procedures.
