Our client, Kayunga Regional Referral Hospital, (KRRH) a Public Health Facility under the Ministry of Health, is mandated to provide comprehensive, preventive, curative, and referral health services to the population of Kayunga District and surrounding areas, in partnership with Makerere University Walter Reed Program (MUWRP) intend to recruit qualified personnel on short term contracts to support their Public Health Department

Reports To: Senior Health Educator
Responsible For: Assistant Health Educators
Location: Kayunga


Job Purpose
To implement Health Education programmes in the district.


Key Outputs
i. Health Education in the Community was conducted.
ii. Health Education needs of the Community assessed and compiled;
iii. Implementation of Health Education guidelines monitored;
iv. Training of communities and Health Workers on the usage of health education materials done; and
v. Health Education reports compiled and submitted.


Key Functions
i. Participating in the development and implementation of appropriate Health Education materials;
ii. Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of Health Education Materials ;
iii. Participating in the planning for Health Education interventions;
iv. Maintaining an inventory of Health Education materials and equipment;
v. Participating in research activities;
vi. Enforcing adherence to the Code of Conduct and Ethics; and
vii. Compiling and submitting reports on Health Education.


Person Specifications
(i) Qualifications
  • Must have an Honors Degree in Health Education from a recognized Institution.
(ii) Competences
  • Coaching and mentoring;
  • Communication;
  • Concern for quality and standards for Health Education;
  • Results oriented; and
  • Time management.
