VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT: HEADTEACHER

Empower Primary School, located in Buyende District, is seeking a qualified and committed Head teacher. The school is currently under construction and is expected to be completed in November. The first school term will begin in January. The successful applicant will support preparations for opening, including staff recruitment, school promotion, learner enrollment, and community mobilization.

Position: Headteacher

Duty Station: Empower Primary School, Buyende District

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and management of the school.
• Support recruitment of teachers and support staff.
• Lead school promotion and enrollment of learners.
• Supervise teaching, learning, discipline, and child protection.
• Maintain school records, reports, and accountability.
• Communicate regularly with donors and partners.
• Support fundraising efforts through timely updates and reports.
• Work closely with parents, community leaders, and education authorities.

Minimum Requirements

• A Diploma in Primary Education.
• At least 3 years of teaching experience.
• Previous school leadership experience is an added advantage.
• Strong command of English and Lusoga.
• Good leadership, communication, and community mobilization skills.
• Basic computer skills
• Strong commitment to Christian values, integrity, God-fearing, and child welfare.
